Better Luck Next Time

Well, that didn’t go as planned. Great weekend for softball. Our girls came up short this weekend. Definitely learned and got better and had some fun along the way. Back to the diamond this coming weekend. #DEx

Iron Sharpens Iron

Last night we had the privilege of partnering with Diamond Express to host our very own Robert Hackett, former NBA championship strength and conditioning coach, in a coaching clinic geared towards injury prevention and speed building. Proud to work with this organization and their commitment to educating their coaches!

Thank you everyone who donated

Another AMAZING day today in the DR, by far the best one yet. We drove up to a line of kids waiting for us, baseball fields ready to go and players waiting to play. Baseball/Softball is truly a universal language. Watching kids communicate on the field without speaking the same language is amazing!!! This trip has been amazing. We WILL do it bigger next year with more stuff for these kids!!!!! The look on the kids face when they got their equipment was absolutely priceless!!!! The gratitude from everyone can’t be expressed in words you have to feel it. The DFW Softball and Baseball community made a huge impression this week and I can’t thank you all enough!!!!!

Express Delivery

We had an amazing day today. We drove across the countryside of Luperon and stopped at 4 different towns to give some of the equipment to the needy kids. What a humbling experience it was. These kids and parents were all so grateful, but still need so much more. Thank you so much to everyone that donated, still have more work to do. #DEx4DRp

Morris’s annual Phillip’s Wish serve day

Today was Diamond Express – Morris’s annual Phillip’s Wish serve day! Each year we have the awesome opportunity to partner with PW to collect toiletry kits, blankets, coats, clothes, etc., and then distribute them to homeless members of our community. The girls got to hand out hot chocolate, food and water, and hang out with some really awesome folks! It is such a blessing to hear people’s stories as they stand in line to get clothing and a warm meal. All of the girls who were able to participate were blessed with an experience that they will not soon forget!

Here is a rough inventory of what our girls were able to collect and distribute today:
200+ hygiene kits
25 blankets
10 coats
400+ toothbrush kits
20 pairs of socks
Several large sacks of gently used clothing
Over $500 for the PW Food Bank
… and this was at last count, which was over a week ago!

We had some other awesome organizations who helped us collect and distribute TON of items in addition to the list above! I will add and tag them here as soon as I get the full list. Combined with the items provided by other individuals and organizations, PW was able to help meet the needs of hundreds of visitors today!

Thanks to everyone who helped make this another awesome serve day!
